Neighbor communication is important. In fact, studies have shown that subdivisions whose residents are familiar with each other and communicate regularly enjoy many benefits, including:
- Safter Streets
- Fewer Complaints
- Less Stress
- Greater inter-neighbor cooperation, and
- Higher Property Values!
The hard part, of course, is getting to that point. Because suburban subdivisions lack common areas (such as elevators, hallways and lobbies) that force urban residents into each other's notice, it isn't at all unusual for suburbanites to live for years in a subdivision without meeting the people who live two houses away. Welcome to Project Common Ground!
Project Common Ground was established in 2007 to help neighbors connect. Our goal is to provide websites for residental subdivisions that will not only serve as showcases and newsletters (as many subdivision websites currently do), but also to provide a safe, convenient means for residents to touch base, share common interests, and work together for the good of the subdivision as a whole. Come on in and see what we have to say. If you think your subdivision might be a candidate, complete our registration form. We'd love to hear from you!
